Well planned and implemented
Plenty of living space in a central location
Haarzopf is a popular district in the south of Essen, characterised by residential development, green spaces and woodlands, and featuring the "Neue Mitte Haarzopf", an attractive shopping and service centre offering a high quality of life. In order to meet the growing demand for housing, a number of new construction projects have been implemented. Koschany + Zimmer Projektentwicklung (KZP) has also built an apartment building here in the immediate vicinity in collaboration with the Düsseldorf-based real estate company Mediconsult, which was sold to Geno Bank. KZP was responsible for the entire general planning and project management during the execution phase.
On a plot of land measuring around 2,300 m² in a central yet sheltered location, a building with a gross floor area of around 2,413 m² was constructed, housing 17 barrier-free apartments. The three-storey apartment building appears almost filigree thanks to a colour-contrasting staggered storey. In addition to the cantilevered upper floor, the building is particularly notable for its light-flooded atrium, which houses the staircase with lift and surrounding gallery and serves as a central meeting place for residents. The modern apartments feature spacious balconies or loggias. The ground floor apartments have terraces with direct access to the communal green space. A children's playground, a communal area for bicycles in a separate part of the building, six garages on the ground floor and additional parking spaces in the outdoor area have also been created.
