Quietly distinctive

The Vin shelving series from weberdinge stands as both timeless and sustainable.

Rethinking the familiar defines the daily practice of architects Christine and Christof Weber—the creative minds behind weberdinge. Their first furniture design emerged from a deceptively simple question: how might shelves and rods meet in entirely new ways? The result is the Vin series—a study in contrasts where minimalist precision and playful refinement coexist beautifully. The shelves reveal themselves differently from every angle. One moment, Vin presents as pure geometry; shift your perspective, and delicate metal struts seem to climb like botanical tendrils. This dialogue with nature runs deep—the couple draws constant inspiration from organic form and movement. For Christine and Christof, every detail matters: uncompromising quality, transparent sourcing, and production as close to home as possible. Each piece undergoes individual inspection with the care of a bespoke object. European oak veneers bearing the FSC certification arrive from Hamburg's finest carpentry workshops, their grain elevated by meticulous lacquering. Every screw, every metal rod receives matching powder coating—a commitment to wholeness that extends to the smallest component. The result? Vin embodies masterful craftsmanship, purposeful design, and distinctly architectural thinking, all wrapped in genuine character. Equally at home as a sideboard, a highboard, a library shelf, or retail display, Vin adapts gracefully to any setting. Two elements—a shelf and a rod—couldn't be more elementary, yet when reconceived, they generate remarkable possibilities.
