Sustainable by Design, Healthy by Nature
Finian Carey and Daniel Brunsteiner craft flexible standing desk solutions
After years working as independent consultants, Finian Carey and Daniel Brunsteiner experienced firsthand how uncomfortable desk setups take a toll on health. Determined to solve the problem creatively, they joined forces in 2019 and began developing their first prototypes for a flexible standing desk solution in Schwabing.
Most people spend at least six hours daily sitting at a desk. Remote work has only amplified the problem—less movement, more health consequences. The hydesk changes that equation. With an adjustable height range of 14–35 cm, it transforms how you work, breaking the cycle of constant sitting. At under 1.5 kg—lighter than most laptops—it's designed to travel with you. Slip it into your backpack for the co-working space, office, café, or anywhere your work takes you. Fully collapsed to just 21 mm, it sets up in seconds. And when you're done, it slides away into a drawer. Behind every detail lies thoughtful material research. Carey and Brunsteiner committed exclusively to sustainable and recyclable materials, with bamboo—a rapidly renewable resource—at its core. Each hydesk is handcrafted by skilled artisans across Germany.
