An evening of glamour

The Capella Bar combines sophisticated design with expertly crafted cocktails.

An evening showstopper, the Capella Bar at Breidenbacher Hof showcases black marble interplaying with refined wood and soft, mirror-reflected lighting—together creating an inviting warmth infused with cosmopolitan glamour. Designed by renowned interior designer Peter Silling and his globally acclaimed firm Hotel Interior Design (headquartered in Hong Kong), the bar—like all hotel spaces—invites guests to unwind, engage in spirited conversation, or simply savor the moment.

The impressive array of premium spirits and signature cocktails has captivated audiences far beyond Düsseldorf's borders. The Capella Bar earned the prestigious Mixology Bar Award in October 2018, making it Düsseldorf's only hotel bar among the top five in the German-speaking region. Bar manager Carsten Möller's current menu features 30 distinctive cocktails that are visual masterpieces—each one brought to life through striking comic-style illustrations. Think the "Weird Crusta," a salmon cocktail infused with aquavit, or the "Princess Tessa," an elegant champagne cocktail with licorice syrup. There are also alcohol-free options like "Good Morning in Düsseldorf" (nut coffee with fresh-pressed fruit). Weekday evenings feature jazz and soul music, while weekends offer live performances.
