The Architecture of Tables
Sustainable Furniture: Designing Space
More is a company driven by two fundamental commitments: beauty and sustainability. Rather than pursuing form for its own sake, the studio asks a deeper question: "How do we want to live?" This philosophy shapes every piece. Slow-grown solid wood from responsibly managed forests across Europe and the USA forms the foundation of More's furniture, each piece crafted with exceptional attention to detail. The wood itself tells a story—in its grain, texture, and tactile warmth, no two pieces are ever identical, transforming each into a distinctive object. Designer Gil Coste approaches his work with an architect's mind and eye. His creations often function as transformative spatial interventions. His newest design, Cape, embodies this philosophy: architecture translated into a table. The collection offers an elegant round coffee table alongside a refined cylindrical form. Both feature a meticulously crafted solid wood top—just 2 cm thick—in walnut or matte black-lacquered oak, supported by an anthracite steel frame with a graceful, tapered line. The coordinating side table is fabricated entirely in steel, with a 3 mm round top resting on three legs, or a square version on four. Its precise yet airy geometry complements the coffee tables effortlessly.
