Design and curiosity sparked it all: Pia Bonnen studied product design at Aachen University of Applied Sciences. Following international internships including a stint in Mumbai, she founded her label Bonnen in Cologne in 2019. Her vision is clear: create everyday products and concepts that marry aesthetics with function, quality, and sustainable production. From her studio in Cologne's old town, Bonnen designs and produces versatile vases—pieces that adapt to different settings and stand the test of time. Each product is handcrafted in Germany, making every piece a one-of-a-kind creation.

The IO series exemplifies her approach: minimalist vases with modular attachments available in various colours, shapes, and sizes. The opening and height adjust to your needs—accommodating a full bouquet or a single stem with equal grace. Each vase features a white porcelain base that pairs with interchangeable tops, yet functions beautifully as a standalone piece. The base measures 85 mm in diameter and 200 mm in height. Available in multiple colours and sizes, the attachments offer flexibility: the IO Y holds individual flowers or stems, while the IO Z embraces a complete bouquet. Stack the modules to your liking—growing the vase height as desired.
