Wuppertal's New Landmark

Dekton Kovik by Cosentino wraps the façade of the new WSW headquarters at the city's entrance

The new WSW Wuppertaler Stadtwerke headquarters was designed to transcend mere functionality and efficiency. Instead, it embodies the authentic character of a city rooted in rich industrial heritage while signaling the utility company's unwavering commitment to a sustainable future.

This five-storey office building accommodates 450 employees alongside an on-site restaurant. Its striking appearance and impressive carbon footprint are largely attributable to the ventilated curtain façade—clad with 3,600 square metres of Cosentino's Dekton sintered stone in the subtly veined grey tone Kovik.

The Dekton panels are secured with concealed wedge undercut anchors, remaining virtually invisible from the outside. Variable window widths establish a refined rhythm—balancing dynamic movement with visual calm. Despite its prominent location on a heavily trafficked thoroughfare, the low-maintenance façade commands attention, its radiance visible throughout the surrounding area.
