Bello in the Office
A new headquarters where inspiration thrives—for both people and their furry colleagues
Everything here spells "paws and progress": In early 2025, zooplus, the online pet supplies leader, opened its new headquarters – "Lumen" on Herzog-Wilhelm Straße – in Munich's vibrant heart. What sets it apart is more than just enabling modern work. The design and interior architecture translate zooplus's brand identity – Pet Love Everyday – into a welcoming, functional, and genuinely pet-friendly environment. Across approximately 12,300 m² of gross floor space, combine Consulting, working alongside S+W BüroRaumKultur, created a workplace that puts the human-pet bond front and center: dogs aren't just welcome in the office—they're an integral part of it.
The interior concept embraces activity-based working, empowering employees to choose their workspace based on the task at hand: focused work in dedicated zones, creative collaboration in open and enclosed spaces, or spontaneous encounters in the expansive "town hall area" with its integrated seating steps. Community spaces and inviting chill-out zones foster connection and recharge moments, while a sophisticated boardroom and versatile conference and project rooms support seamless professional collaboration. Special amenities round out the experience: a test kitchen, bike storage, showers, and changing facilities. The true standout is the dog workplace concept. Each floor features dedicated dog workstations, dog stations, and paw-cleaning areas, while a "pet wall" celebrates four-legged team members—ensuring they're genuinely present. Thoughtful ground rules create harmony: certain zones remain dog-free. External dog-walking services and dedicated "Bark & Go" drop-off points provide additional support. Every design element—colors, materials, and furnishings—follows a custom design DNA in terracotta, green, petrol, and blue, carefully chosen for canine perception. Light wood accents echo the building's material palette, while easy-clean surfaces prioritize pet comfort. The zooplus brand story comes alive through creative spatial design: dog leash artwork and toy sculptures, scratching post installations—all inviting discovery of the full product range. The space itself becomes a brand experience.
