For lighting designer Dirk Hollweg from Lux100, it is the right lighting that brings out the full effect of a room. In line with this maxim, he was commissioned by the owners of Dentaversum on Ballindamm to use lighting to support their positioning as a top dental practice in Hamburg. The practice's name is derived from the leitmotif "universe" and has been implemented with a special lighting design reminiscent of Saturn's rings, for example. The sparkling starry sky above the reception area evokes associations with the Milky Way. Spherical miniature spotlights in metallic midnight blue are reminiscent of distant planets.

In order to create the right light for each room, the technical implementation focused on the best LED light with a high-quality, warm white light colour of 3,000 Kelvin and CRI>92, i.e. at least 92 per cent colour rendering. In addition, "biodynamic" light is used. Tunable White technology works with variable colour temperature control from 3,000 to 6,000 Kelvin to simulate daylight, which has a positive effect on well-being and performance. The backlit stretch ceiling in the waiting room suggests an unobstructed view of the sky. A high proportion of directional light evokes positive images of sunbeams and structures the large rooms. The design takes into account comfortable and relaxing indirect lighting in the patients' field of vision while providing optimal working conditions for the team. The continuous lighting scene control also includes the external appearance of the practice through bright LED strips.
