Las Vegas in Stuttgart

Luxury renovation of a single-family home

Studio Alexander Fehre transformed a family home near Stuttgart into a generous, elegant living environment—one that marries glamour with everyday functionality. Drawing inspiration from the luminous energy of Las Vegas and urban sophistication, the result is an interior where daily life and refined living coexist seamlessly. Rather than restructuring the existing architecture, Fehre and his team strategically reimagined the entry, living and dining areas, and kitchen. Their vision: a flowing open plan where cooking, dining, and living unfold without interruption. At the heart sits a generous dining table—the communicative anchor of the space, framed by a living area with sofa and home cinema on one side, and by vertical wooden wall slats on the other. These slats elegantly conceal storage while visually extending the kitchen's line. Upper cabinets have been replaced with continuous slatted panelling that serves multiple roles: kitchen boundary, counter backing, pantry screen, and architectural signature. Integrated into the wooden surfaces are shelves in dark matte finish, curated to display carefully selected objects. Through a deliberate interplay of materials, the spaces remain distinctly defined—even without walls or doors—preserving the essential openness of the home.

A blush-pink accent wall brings sophistication to the kitchen zone, while a custom ceiling fixture elegantly masks technical elements while serving as a defining design moment. Premium finishes, restrained colour, and precise proportions establish an atmosphere of quiet luxury. Echoing yacht design principles, every detail balances function with grace. This renovation demonstrates how family living can embrace luxurious design. Studio Alexander Fehre designs spaces that speak—of wanderlust, refined taste, and the desire for a home that reflects both personality and elegance.
