Where Function Meets Form

A cosmetic dentistry concept that impresses with thoughtful design details

A gleaming brass reception counter topped with white Carrara marble sets the tone for visitors, while the waiting area unfolds like a lounge—complete with refined grey seating, statement cacti in ceramic vessels, and integrated beverage stations. Step into the Sensmile flagship store at Schwabinger Tor, and one thing becomes immediately clear: this is no ordinary dental practice. It's a "cosmetic dentistry studio." As one of Germany's pioneering providers, Sensmile manufactures custom aligners on-site—transparent dental trays that discreetly correct gaps and misaligned teeth without the hassle of traditional braces, impressions, brackets, or visible wires. Using advanced 3D printing technology and expert clinical guidance, Sensmile delivers results that speak for themselves.

The visionary concept behind this distinctive practice comes from Rudolf Innenarchitektur, based in Zwiesel. The interior design seamlessly balances function with atmosphere, capturing the contemporary spirit with refined aesthetics and premium materials. A cohesive palette of white, natural wood, and brass threads throughout: Carrara marble surfaces pair with whitewashed oak cabinetry and brushed, stained, and lacquered oak ceiling slats. Brass-framed partitions with frosted glass infill—or full brass panels—create dynamic sightlines while maintaining privacy around the centralized "treatment unit," designed as an independent room-within-room. Illuminated ceilings with white Plexiglas in brass frames add an understated luxury. Layered lighting—functional track and spotlights paired with sculptural fixtures—draws the eye: mouth-blown glass and brass "Random" pendants by Lodes hover above the counter, while suspended brass LED rings illuminate the lounge. This carefully orchestrated lighting design dramatizes the spatial architecture and showcases the sophisticated 3D printing technology, projecting the practice's innovative character through expansive windows onto the bustling Leopoldstraße streetscape. The practice's golden logo gleams from the floor-to-ceiling millwork.
