Mission Red in Ampfing

The workshop supplier Sherpa at the new, well-designed location

The first point of contact for visitors to Sherpa Autodiagnostik is the counter in Sherpa's new clear corporate design. A custom-made cabinet in signal red, matching the logo of the workshop outfitter from Ampfing in the Bavarian district of Mühldorf am Inn. In just four months, Neuötting architect Robert Maier designed the new company headquarters at the new company headquarters and hit the bull's eye with his concept - or rather the red. An existing building was renovated, converted and the previous Sherpa locations in Mühldorf and Neuötting were combined on a total of 4,600 m². In addition to new office wings, there are now also modern training rooms and a showroom where visitors and interested parties can experience the latest technologies and their application first-hand.

The employees are very pleased with Maier's new, bold and futuristic interior concept, which includes some interesting details. It is based on the corporate colors white, light grey and red and this play of colors is repeated in all areas - be it in the meeting room with the red conference chairs as the icing on the cake or in the cabinets from Assmann Büromöbel with red inserts that were specially made for the property. "In principle, we worked with a mixture of supplied furniture and custom-made furniture," says Maier. The heart of the whole thing is the staff canteen, which opens up almost cathedral-like to the skylight and has been transformed into a work of art with a perforated plasterboard ceiling with spherical lights suspended at different heights, floating like clouds above the action. The perforated acoustic elements are repeated in the rooms, where they are fitted with recessed lights and have an equally artistic effect. In the canteen, the red highlight again attracts everyone's attention: the kitchen is custom-made and contrasts with the calm white and gray walls and floors. Red also marks the way from the central entrance area to the various work zones: Corridors in the signal color from floor to ceiling lead to the various "bulkheads". These are the real futuristic feature of the design, as all the offices and areas have been prepared in such a way that they can be changed in future depending on needs and requirements. There are currently two workstations per bulkhead, but it can also be designed with two workstations plus a meeting area or offices with three to four workstations. Glass partitions are used to ensure that the overall relaxed feeling of the space is not restricted.
