Light, Air, and Space

A wintergarden by Weiß & Weiß transforms a family home in Trudering

In Munich's Trudering district, an elegant extension project showcases the transformative power of generous glazing: Weiß & Weiß, window and door specialists from Kirchheim, have created a light-filled living and dining area that seamlessly merges interior and exterior through expansive glass surfaces. The interplay of fixed and operable glass panels floods the space with natural light, while on sunny days, the entire glass wall opens completely—dissolving boundaries between home and garden into one flowing living space.

The beige-grey frames harmonize beautifully with the home's natural palette of wood, stone, and greenery. Their slender profile creates visual elegance while maximizing glass surface area—a refined expression of modern, minimalist design. Continuous floor-level rails and flush transitions reinforce the home's barrier-free living concept throughout.

Beyond aesthetic appeal, energy performance is equally important. The conservatory features high-performance triple glazing that maintains a comfortable indoor climate year-round, whether summer heat or winter cold. Integrated intelligent shading—positioned between the glass panes—provides additional thermal control.

Installed Elements: Aluminium conservatory, beige-grey finish, integrated shading system, folding glass walls
