Upcycling with Heart

Uwe Bühler transforms discarded bicycle parts into distinctive furniture and home accessories

When an old bicycle reaches the end of the road, it doesn't have to end up in the scrap heap. Uwe Bühler proves otherwise with his label Immer mit Herz (Always with Heart), transforming bicycle parts into entirely new products. In his Tiefenbronn-Lehningen workshop, discarded pedals become bottle openers, chains turn into wall art, and vintage emblems from classic German bicycle manufacturers crown wine stoppers. Every component bears the patina of a well-traveled cycling life. As a trained precision engineer, Bühler already understands product development intimately. He launched his own label in 2017 and has been crafting functional and decorative furniture and home accessories ever since—blending two passions: his love of bicycles and creative craftsmanship. Each piece is meticulously handmade.

The hallway coat rack fashioned from reclaimed wheel rims is an instant showstopper. Bühler pairs them with reclaimed wood, creating an entirely fresh product through thoughtful upcycling. Its slim profile makes it ideal even for compact spaces. The key rack keeps things organized and accessible—the bar constructed from bicycle rims and valves accommodates numerous keys with ease. The rims' varied colors create an ever-changing palette of designs. At first glance, Immer mit Herz's corkscrews might seem mysterious, but their secret is simple: Bühler crafts them from vintage racing bike pedals.
