Agile Space for Possibility
A New Work planning firm brings its philosophy to life in the Media Harbour
Since launching its Düsseldorf headquarters in 2014, CSMM – architecture matters has expanded significantly. The team had outgrown their original office space, which no longer supported their evolving needs. More importantly, they wanted to foster greater collaboration and workplace flexibility. A revitalized property in the Media Harbour proved the perfect answer. Across 300 m², the team designed an intelligent, stylishly appointed office that serves dual purposes: fostering inspiring collaboration with colleagues while providing focused solo and team work environments.
"Our new Düsseldorf headquarters embodies our workplace design philosophy—one that treats space as a canvas for possibility," says Sven Bietau, managing partner at CSMM. This flexible environment creates moments of connection that spark innovation through co-creation and serendipity. It's a place where insights and breakthroughs emerge naturally, often when you least expect them.
Flexible, adaptable room concepts enable the new office to accommodate agile work styles while delivering optimal conditions. Desk-sharing arrangements maximize efficiency and streamline workflows. "CSMM is proving its own model here—one that prioritizes maximum flexibility without compromising on quality," notes Tiziana Feighofen-Longo, team lead at CSMM Düsseldorf and project director. The Kaistraße spaces are designed for seamless use by colleagues across all locations, whenever they need them.
