A World of Aromas
Bar Fragrances at the Ritz-Carlton presents a concept unlike anything else in the world
Female bartenders are rare, but a bar manager whose cocktails draw inspiration from perfume? That's truly one of a kind—and you'll find her at Bar Fragrances in The Ritz-Carlton Berlin on Potsdamer Platz. Peggy Knuth and her bar team invite you on an extraordinary sensory journey: 16 drinks crafted from premium fragrances and the creative bartenders' personal stories and memories.
Here's how this fragrance bar works: the centerpiece is the interactive "Hall of Fame"—a walk-through bar menu where guests select their perfect drink simply by choosing a fragrance that speaks to them. Each exclusive scent awakens memories of life's most beautiful moments, which, paired with a carefully crafted cocktail, offer a fleeting escape from the everyday. Just as perfume bottles are carefully designed, the glassware here is equally considered. A vintage Swedish birdhouse with flickering lights graces the counter; the "Signorina" arrives in high heels. It's indulgence with a playful twist—designed to delight and invite you to relax and savor every sip. The bar itself strikes an elegant, contemporary balance. Thoughtfully curated materials in refined gold and grey tones step back gracefully, letting warm red accents take center stage—visible in select seating and floral arrangements throughout. Delicate brass and marble details complete this harmonious palette, lending the space an understated sophistication and refined elegance.
