In Safe Hands
Our guiding principle: diagnose, treat, inspire.
Relocating a practice presents both challenges and opportunity—the chance to reimagine operations from the ground up. For Hamburg dermatologist Dr. Philipp Buck and his team, the move to Eppendorf became a catalyst to streamline workflows and refocus on what truly matters: patient care. The design firm sbp Seel Bobsin Partner was tasked with translating this vision into a thoughtful concept and spatial design.
The new practice spaces are unified by a single design philosophy: patients should feel completely at ease the moment they walk in. The striking, seemingly floating reception desk creates an welcoming entry point and serves dual purpose—housing essential office materials while discreetly separating the back office from the front-of-house activity, enabling staff to work with focus and efficiency.
The compact waiting area allows patients to settle in comfortably before moving into the newly designed treatment rooms. Through careful selection of materials, contemporary details, clean geometry, and a warm, natural color palette, the sbp team created spaces that feel both professional and inviting. Paired with cutting-edge medical technology, the result speaks clearly: this is a practice built on precision and care—a place where patients truly feel at home.
Large-scale graphics punctuate the design, reinforcing the brand message throughout every touchpoint. The name Cutaneum—derived from Latin "cutis" (skin) and German "neu" (new)—embodies the studio's core promise: your visit marks the beginning of a new chapter in skin health, where body and spirit come into harmony. Here, modern dermatology and innovative laser therapy converge with medical-aesthetic care, all within the serene, spa-like ambiance of a boutique wellness retreat.
