Paula Ellert studied interior design at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and product design at Kassel University of Art and Design. In 2015, the Düsseldorf native returned to her hometown, where she has been working as an independent furniture and product designer ever since. From her studio in Bilk, Ellert creates compact furniture pieces—ranging from bespoke originals to limited editions. She draws inspiration from daily life, art, fashion, and music, channeling these influences into her lamps, side tables, and other products. Her design process varies with each project: whether it's a particular form, material, or construction technique, Ellert allows these discoveries to spark her creative vision.

The Loop Table takes its name from the distinctive shape of its base—an endless loop of blackened steel. The tabletop is crafted from Plexiglas and mounted in an ingenious way: slots along the sides allow the base to pass through, creating a seamless union where the frame supports the surface. The collection extends to include the Loop Circular, a round side table with the same refined aesthetic. The Modular Cubes represent a space-age design philosophy brought to life in Plexiglas modules. Available as cubes (H 50 cm) and rectangular units (H 60 cm), they share a formal language while differing in proportion. These versatile pieces work alone or combined, functioning equally well as side tables or home bars. Beyond her furniture and product design practice, Paula Ellert lectures on design theory at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel.
