Furniture Made in Frankfurt
Thomas Tritsch: A Master of Functional Design
Thomas Tritsch is a sculptor and trained carpenter who co-founded Morgen Interiors with architect Sabine Mühlbauer twenty-five years ago. Since 1998, the company's in-house manufactory has called Frankfurt's Osthafen home—a location right on the water that perfectly reflects their philosophy. Here, Morgen Interiors crafts far more than its signature furniture collection. Custom-designed kitchens, wardrobes, washstands, sideboards, and tables take shape according to each client's vision. The design process begins in the adjoining interior design studio, where concepts are developed and refined before moving to production. Every piece is handcrafted to exact specifications using primarily two noble materials: oak and walnut. For tabletops, clients can choose from an array of surfaces, including linoleum and natural rubber.
The Bridge Collection tables represent the label's cornerstone designs, offered in numerous variations. The Executive Desk—an Interior Innovation Award winner—epitomizes timeless, functional design while fostering a focused, calm workspace. Its defining feature is the 8-centimeter-thick top, ingeniously integrated with cable management systems and concealed storage compartments. Two offset supports anchor this sculptural, monumental desk, creating an impressive visual presence without compromising functionality. The newest addition, Skinny Bridge, brings a refined lightness to the family with its thinner solid top and seamlessly rounded corners. Equally at home as a meeting table or dining surface, it proves that great design adapts to any setting.
