A Light-Filled Sanctuary
A single-family home transforms its interior and exterior with new windows.
This project called for a comprehensive window renovation that has since transformed the house into a luminous sanctuary—both inside and out. The new windows also enhance the distinctive architecture of this 1950s pitched-roof home. Window and door specialist Weiß & Weiß, based in Kirchheim near Munich, managed every aspect of the work, from initial planning through final installation.
The installation featured wood-aluminium windows with flush-mount profiles on both sides, brushed interior surfaces, and a warm beige-grey finish. Complementing these were panoramic lift-and-slide doors with minimalist framing, paired with Z-blade external shading systems.
All-glass window systems represent a design innovation—maximizing transparency with minimal framing by positioning glazing to completely conceal the sash frame, allowing substantially more natural light to flood the spaces. Z-blade external blinds elegantly merge function with contemporary aesthetics. Beyond delivering effective light control, they provide exceptional stability against wind loads. Engineered from durable materials, the Z-blades simultaneously filter harmful UV rays while precisely regulating daylight penetration into your rooms.
