For decades, Ridlerstraße 57 in Munich's Schwanthalerhöhe district was the place to go for vehicle inspections—home to TÜV Süd's testing centre and laboratories. That changed in 2015 when the company relocated to greater Munich and decentralised its operations. The site was demolished and reimagined. In its place rose Newton, a state-of-the-art office complex designed by DMP Architekten and completed in late 2019. Kitzig, an interior design firm with offices in Bochum, London, Munich, and Düsseldorf, was brought on to shape the interior experience across major areas of the building.

Kitzig designed Newton's conference areas, business bar, and employee canteen. TÜV Süd emerged as a forward-thinking client—one committed to sustainable building practices and pioneering workspace design. The result: 22 cutting-edge meeting, conference, and office spaces equipped with the latest technology. Following current trends, these rooms are individually designed and infinitely flexible, adapting quickly to evolving needs. A central booking system lets employees reserve spaces on demand, while modular dividers allow conference rooms to expand or contract as required. The aesthetic throughout is restrained, functional, and refined. Ground floor anchor: the "New Tonic – Bio Barista Bar," positioned at a central courtyard—also thoughtfully designed with cream-coloured seating and high cocktail tables with bar stools. With 60 seats, it's the ideal spot for quick coffee breaks. Warm wood tones line the back wall, enhanced by soft indirect lighting that creates an inviting ambiance. By contrast, the "Newtaste" canteen—an expansive 800 m² space seating 315—strikes a brighter, more open tone. Tables and chairs cluster in flexible groupings or extend in long communal rows. Light brown parquet flooring anchors the space, while turquoise chairs, rust-toned walls, and verdant plants inject colour and life.
