Inga Kamberg designs lounge beanbags for indoor and outdoor spaces
When advertising professional Inga Kamberg shifted her focus to family life with the birth of her two sons, she refused to shelve her creative ambitions. Instead, she founded Ikoonz, launching her vision in 2015. Her beanbags deliver exceptional comfort through innovative form-stable design, wrapped in vibrant colours and contemporary aesthetics that infuse any space with lounge elegance. Each piece is filled with ultra-fine German microbeads—just 0.1–0.3 mm in diameter—that remain whisper-quiet and meld into perfectly uniform seating surfaces. The filling conforms to your body while maintaining its shape, whether placed in a private home or commercial setting, indoors or out.
Covers come in waterproof, fade-resistant, chlorine and saltwater-resistant outdoor fabrics, plus designer textiles, velvet, and genuine cowhide for indoor applications. Every model is durable and hypoallergenic. From living rooms and conservatories to gardens, terraces, wellness centres, and pool areas—even modern office lounges and meeting spaces—these lounge beanbags adapt to any environment. Kamberg's Bad Vilbel studio has already produced standout designs like EgXtreme: its seat functions as both backrest and armrest in true club-chair fashion, finished with detailed piping and substantial padding for superior comfort. The Chiller—a high-backed banana-shaped lounger—creates a naturally contoured headrest when reclined, transforming into a full relaxation bed with an optional footrest. Completing the trio, Big Wave offers an XL lounger with gentle curves that invite relaxation. Contrasting tones on the surface and sides highlight its organic wave form, echoed in a coordinating cushion.
