Gofurnit designs and crafts lighting with meticulous attention to detail
Manuel Döpper launched Gofurnit in 2019 as a passion project that has since become his full-time practice. His love for wood-based materials and their dynamic relationship with light inspired him to design and handcraft luminaires with meticulous precision. Each light that emerges from his studio in Zollstock is a one-of-a-kind piece. While the designs follow consistent forms, every timber source yields its own distinctive grain pattern – a characteristic that shines when rendered in thin-cut, oiled veneer. Each veneer strip is individually selected; offcuts are repurposed into bookmarks and decorative bowls. All wood veneers are certified FSC-authentic and manufactured in Germany, combining durability with the flexibility and visual richness that define the material.
Gofurnit's lighting collections are available across a range of veneer options, each tailored to its design. The Fleur wall light comes in smoked walnut, for instance – its internal illumination bathes the wood evenly without glare, establishing a calming spatial experience. The Ardēre floor lamp, offered in satin walnut among other finishes, suits living and bedroom settings alike, its soft indirect light fostering a naturally warm atmosphere. The Veneria pendant works beautifully suspended above dining or living spaces, offered in three diameters: 50, 60, and 70 cm.
