The story begins with Luisa Scheu's search for the perfect terrazzo side table for her living room. With a clear vision in mind, she knocked on doors at local stonemasons—but none could deliver what she imagined. Rather than compromise, she decided to create it herself, founding Luizzo in Düsseldorf. After experimenting in a local stonemason's workshop, Scheu traveled to Italy to find the right manufacturing partner for her custom terrazzo formula. The search proved fruitful. Today, a fourth-generation family business handcrafts each Luizzo piece. Since December 2020, her creations are available through her online shop and select distribution partners.

The collection features timeless designs crafted from premium natural materials. The Luca side table, like all Luizzo tables, works beautifully indoors and out, protected by food-safe waterproof sealant. The Giuliano side table showcases a hexagonal form—a symbol of harmony between masculine and feminine energies, celebrated in partnerships and marriage. The Carlo coffee table is equally versatile, pairing seamlessly with Luca in monochromatic or contrasting color combinations. Looking for terrazzo accessories? Luizzo's tableaus shine as cheese boards or candle displays. Hand-sanded and finished with food-safe, water-based sealant, they're stain-resistant and perfect for serving.
