Where function and design come together seamlessly at an ENT practice

Designed and executed by Seel Bobsin Partner (sbp), this interior for an ENT specialist practice in Eidelstedt masterfully merges aesthetics with purpose. The spatial concept for this 450 m² practice in a new building embraces a holistic philosophy: natural materials, acoustic performance, intuitive wayfinding, and ergonomic design form the foundation.

The vision was clear: create a calm yet clearly organized environment where patients feel genuinely cared for. Every spatial decision—from the understated design approach to the intuitive layout—reinforces a patient-centric philosophy. Drawing inspiration from the practice's specialty and brand identity, circular forms emerge as the unifying design language. The floor plan is structured concentrically, with reception and waiting areas anchoring the center while treatment rooms and supporting spaces form an outer ring. This arrangement strikes a careful balance: openness in the reception area, privacy where it matters. A sophisticated color palette, paired with an elegantly subtle wayfinding system by designer David Steingrüber, guides patients through the space while its clarity brings order to the daily rhythm of the practice. Treatment rooms feature numbered signage with refined graphics that echo the practice's visual identity. Sightlines between different zones create architectural depth and engaging vistas—each carefully composed to enrich the environment and elevate the patient experience.

Materials tell a deliberate story: warm, natural oak contrasts thoughtfully with the cool pragmatism of rubber flooring. This dynamic tension creates visual richness while honoring the practical demands of a medical environment. The result is a layered, tactile space that feels both refined and purposeful. The restrained design language establishes a practice environment that is inviting, intuitive, and fundamentally patient-focused.
