Caring & Sharing Space

Corporate spaces that foster identity create countless opportunities for meaningful connection

The newly redesigned interiors of this medical technology company are a feast for the senses: vibrant, tactile, purposeful, and thoughtfully calibrated to the needs of its workforce. Studio Komo's interior architects built the concept around a central theme: "Caring & Sharing." The result is a comprehensive suite of spaces for approximately 200 employees across administration, development, production, and logistics—including a staff restaurant, a library lounge, and multiple meeting areas. Together, they create an inspiring environment where shared breaks and all-hands meetings naturally coexist with casual social events like watch parties and chess nights. The design actively encourages communication and collaboration, while thoughtfully providing quiet zones for individuals and small groups to recharge.

Matte blue Fenix laminate built-ins define the spatial layout, with pocket doors offering the flexibility to open areas completely or close them for a more serene aesthetic. Individual nooks and kitchen backsplashes are clad in Karuun, a sustainable material crafted from reed. A rattan laminate wall fitted with hooks—displaying employees' personal cups—becomes a striking focal point. Layered and indirect lighting further accentuates the alcoves. The staff restaurant offers varied seating arrangements, including a cosy sunken lounge at the back, carpeted and raised two steps above the main floor. A custom-designed bench delineates this zone from the thoroughfare. Oversized artwork is thoughtfully positioned against a warm grey wall.

Two circular seating islands anchor the restaurant's center, complemented by an arena-style gathering space. Drawing from the company's corporate identity—where blue is paramount—the designers crafted a cohesive, warmly inviting palette that layers blues with verdant and earthy tones. This is complemented by cork and rattan acoustic panels, oak-veneered tables and benches, colorful carpet and linoleum flooring, and terracotta-potted greenery.
