Green residential oasis in Rüttenscheid
Its close proximity to Essen's green lung, the Grugapark, and to Rüttenscheider Straße makes the location particularly attractive.
Five three-storey buildings plus a penthouse floor with a total of 59 barrier-free rental apartments and 68 underground parking spaces are being built in the popular Rüttenscheid district of Essen. The location is particularly attractive due to its close proximity to Essen's green lung, the Grugapark, and Rüttenscheider Straße. With apartment sizes ranging from 58 to 153 m², the new neighbourhood is designed for singles, couples and families. The apartments comply with the KfW 55 energy efficiency standard.
As the project aims to promote neighbourly relations, there are numerous tenant gardens facing Köndgenstraße. The communal gardens in the inner courtyard feature planters that collect rainwater, which is then filtered by grasses and flowering aquatic plants before evaporating. Pergolas provide additional opportunities for people to meet and chat. The flat roofs and one gable wall will be greened. The flats are expected to be ready for occupancy at the end of 2020.
