Multifaceted, colourful, vibrant
IT company establishes new office at Potsdamer Platz
Multifaceted, vibrant, and full of energy – words that immediately come to mind when thinking of Berlin. Here, monotony and boredom are rare commodities. These very concepts inspired Nadia Stanke, founder of Stanke Interior Design, when she took on the project of outfitting new offices for Conet Technologies Holding. The IT company had selected an eight-storey office building at Potsdamer Platz as their new hub. The challenge: design 57 workstations for staff, a welcoming reception area, and multiple meeting spaces across approximately 900 m².
The moment visitors step into the office, they're welcomed by an inviting palette of turquoise, blue, and petrol tones, punctuated with strategic yellow accents. Comfortable seating arrangements rest on petrol-blue carpets beneath warm wooden slats bearing the greeting "Welcome" – a nod to both guests and staff. This colour scheme, reinforced by warm wood elements throughout, weaves seamlessly through the entire office landscape like a unifying design motif.
The generous meeting room – which shares views of the Sony building with the managing director's office – celebrates diversity through multi-coloured chairs, reflecting the very spirit of Berlin itself. "Creating a strong visual connection to the capital and the company's home base was essential," Stanke explains. Large-format graphic wallpapers featuring iconic Berlin imagery serve as bold design anchors throughout the space. In individual offices, colour filters adapt these graphics to complement each wall; in corridors and meeting areas, they appear in sophisticated black-and-white with delicate wooden screening. The result: employees and visitors encounter a continuous visual conversation with an inspiring, dynamic metropolis.
Beyond ergonomically optimized workstations, the design incorporates varied flexible zones that spark quick, effortless, and agile collaboration. The representative entrance and waiting area doubles as an informal meeting space for spontaneous discussions.
