During the renovation of DAW's historic administration building, each floor was reimagined with open, flexible spaces designed to foster teamwork. Simone Ferrari shaped one floor according to her client's vision, creating rooms that naturally invite collaboration and embody key organizational values: agility and creativity, employee development, the breaking down of formalism and hierarchies, and spontaneous exchange. The renovation produced six identical room volumes—yet the interior designer transformed each into a distinct meeting environment with its own character and working atmosphere, tailoring every design decision to support different modes of work and collaboration.

To bring these varied room experiences to life, the interior designer partnered with Caparol's colour design studio to develop three distinct atmospheric frameworks—each with its own intensity and colour palette within a cohesive master concept. Three primary meeting modes guided the design: "Deciding," "Developing," and "Exchanging." The "Exchanging" spaces feature refined, subtle contrasts to support concentration and thoughtful dialogue. "Deciding" areas are defined by bold, clear contrasts that sharpen focus and clarity. "Developing" zones embrace unexpected colour combinations that energize creativity and dynamic thinking. This philosophy extends throughout—every colour, surface, textile, furniture piece, and lighting fixture works in concert. Following the same principle as the new company building, these rooms embrace the "colour-all-over" approach: colour doesn't stop at walls or material transitions, but flows continuously. The corridor, rendered entirely in black, features wooden frames that mark the entrances and draw the eye. Floor-to-ceiling glass panels offer transparency into the workspaces while amplifying the visual impact of each colour world as it radiates into the dark corridor. "These meeting rooms enable and support genuinely new ways of working together," explains Ferraris' client Dr. Ralf Murjahn, owner and CEO of DAW. "They're spaces with real character and lasting inspiration. Breakthrough ideas don't happen in neutral rooms—they're sparked by the right environment. We're delighted with the concept and its execution. Our teams are genuinely energized."
