A Mirror of Its Surroundings
Two New Townhouses in Kaiserswerth
"Living with context" – this guiding principle shaped the development of two new townhouses on Sankt-Göres-Straße in Kaiserswerth. Clean lines and thoughtfully balanced materials allow these residences to bridge the architectural language of their surroundings while capturing the distinct character of the neighbourhood. The two houses emerge as a restrained yet distinctive ensemble: their minimalist brick vocabulary, characteristic of Kaiserswerth's architectural heritage, is subtly enriched with Romanesque and Gothic details. This dialogue between restraint and tradition speaks to both unity and individuality. Inside, the same philosophy prevails – a refined simplicity where unfinished materials take centre stage. Exposed concrete, open roof beams, Douglas fir flooring, and porcelain stoneware create an authentic quality that seamlessly complements the building's precise, understated design. Newly designed gardens and generous terrace spaces complete this connection to nature.
