Makes you want to work
Colorful workplace with a stylish look
Blue sofa, green wall and strong images - the German site of the "Tomra Collection Solution" division is very colorful and extremely future-oriented. The company, which leads the global market in automated reverse vending machines, optical sorting and peeling systems for the food industry as well as systems and services for waste and metal recycling, also appears to be a trailblazer when it comes to modern working. Workplace specialist merTens from Willich was commissioned to design the new premises, and the result is a milestone in Tomra's corporate history. The company management not only wanted processes and workflows to be optimized. The creation of an individual corporate workplace based on the idea of "activity-based working" was also to be the focus of the concept development.
"It was important to our client to create a forward-looking office that would increase employee satisfaction and make the employer more attractive at the same time," says Jennifer Mertens from merTens AG. In order to achieve this, the workplace specialists implemented working options characterized by transparency and openness, which promote communication within the company and its flexibility. At the same time, the Tomra brand was to be represented - on the one hand, to promote identification among employees and customers and, on the other, to support the open corporate culture.
In areas such as the Welcome Area with adjoining Customer Experience Zone, the inviting Workcafé, various work areas and spaces for agile project work, you can experience a consistent concept that scores highly in terms of functionality and design. The colorful design concept, which radiates pure optimism, repeatedly integrates nature motifs. "This is intended to emphasize the sensitivity of the topic," explains the specialist for corporate workplaces, pointing out that people are also integrated into the wall design as key players. Overall, a "corporate workplace" characterized by individuality and differentiation has been created for Tomra, taking into account the company's corporate design.
