Treasured Keepsakes

Cornelia Bohnen creates home textiles and jewelry from hand-cut silhouettes

In 2015, photographer and designer Cornelia Bohnen launched Kindskopf Berlin from her studio in Schöneberg. Her distinctive approach transforms head profiles of children, adults, and pets into intricate paper silhouettes. Every piece is handcrafted from sustainable materials, created from your photograph to capture a true one-of-a-kind likeness. The concept was inspired after the birth of her first son—a desire to immortalize those we hold closest.

Kindskopf Berlin's personalized cushions bring an intimate, individual character to any living space. With nine color options—from navy and natural to raspberry, ochre, and terracotta—there's a perfect match for every sofa and armchair. Each cushion cover features a hotel-style closure for easy care. For those seeking wearable memories, the label's rings transform a silhouette into precious jewelry: choose from recycled silver in polished, gold-plated, or rose gold finishes. Beyond cushions and rings, the collection spans lampshades, stamps, tote bags, aprons, and wall pieces—all crafted from certified sustainable materials. The textiles are woven from GOTS-certified organic cotton, ensuring both beauty and responsibility in every creation.
