A Perfect Partnership

Custom lighting design creates the distinctive character of any hotel and restaurant

In the heart of Georgia's capital, Tbilisi, Tavaduri restaurant marries culinary heritage with refined design across four thoughtfully planned floors. Here, guests encounter not just exceptional Georgian cuisine, but an atmosphere where timeless elegance and contemporary aesthetics flow seamlessly together. Orion Leuchtenmanufaktur—Vienna's renowned lighting atelier—crafted a bespoke lighting concept that defines the entire space, encompassing both restaurant and hotel.

The grand dining hall served as the design's anchor. Its historic décor—featuring striking white cast iron details—demanded a fresh yet fitting interpretation of classical forms. The Vela collection answered the call, reimagining traditional chandeliers through a contemporary lens. At Tavaduri, these elegant fixtures were finished with cream-coloured organza shades, diffusing a soft, warm glow that enriches the room's intimate character. The hotel's stunning spiral staircase marks another defining moment, crowned with an opulent chandelier and multi-flame wall sconces from the Katharina series. Their refined brass frames and 24-carat gold plating capture the staircase's inherent grandeur, amplifying its visual impact. This refined approach extends throughout the guest rooms, where crystal luminaires from the Design by Orion: Crystal Design collection offer personalized elegance across various configurations. Every lighting choice reinforces a distinct identity—from dining spaces to lobby to private sanctuaries. The result is a masterful composition where light, space, and atmosphere exist in perfect harmony.
