The Conseta story began in 1964, more precisely at the Cologne Furniture Fair. Initial reactions were somewhat reserved and it took a while for customers to finally get to know and understand the Conseta modular system. But once they did, its success was unstoppable. The model name Conseta is a combination of the Latin words consedere and consetus, which translate as "to sit together" and "put together". Because Conseta is simply a place where people like to sit together. If it didn't sound so uncomfortable, this sofa could also be called a "milestone". As early as 1963, Friedrich Wilhelm Möller, a resourceful Westphalian and former COR employee, had developed the design for this forward-looking upholstered furniture system. As flexible as a construction kit and as adaptable as a chameleon, with such minimalist simplicity that it would endure beyond styles and fashions: Conseta is, simply put, the perfect symbiosis of a holistic system. By 1996, Möller's design had already sold over 500,000 units. As was the case 55 years ago, every Conseta sofa is manufactured in-house at the COR factory, with the exception of a few supplier parts.
