Dinnebier Licht's new manufacturing facility embodies the principles of classic Bauhaus design—clean lines, minimalist aesthetics, and purposeful form. Since last September, a dedicated team of interior architects, lighting specialists, craftspeople, designers, and engineers has been creating at Piepersberg in Solingen. "We're thrilled to have established a fully integrated manufactory for our exclusive Licht im Raum collection in this inspiring space," explains Daniel Klages. For 25 years, he and Jule Dinnebier have led the company in developing and handcrafting lighting under the Licht im Raum brand. Alongside celebrated classics like Ocular, Dione, Stilio, White Moons, and Glas Moons, the collection now includes newer family members Maylily and Big Moons.

The Dinnebier Licht team handled all technical planning for the new facility. Flooded with natural light and generously proportioned, the studio and workshop spaces create ideal conditions for the company's two core pursuits: professional lighting design and handcrafted manufacturing of Licht im Raum products. From this new base, the team develops lighting solutions for public and private architectural projects, as well as historic buildings and churches. The workshop layout itself was completely reimagined in collaboration with the production team—carefully orchestrated so that every step, from initial product design through component fabrication to final assembly, flows seamlessly.

"We're especially proud of our rooftop photovoltaic system," notes Jule Dinnebier. "It generates more energy than the facility consumes." The building's intelligent workspace design cleanly separates handcrafted production from final assembly, while allowing the owners to fully realize their sustainability vision—ecologically and socially responsible, with technology and design proudly made in Solingen, Germany. Completing the picture is an elegant showroom showcasing the entire collection and offering direct factory sales. The team welcomes visitors to explore their new premises and discover how the Licht im Raum story has evolved over six decades—and where it's heading next.
