Crafted with Care

Robin Hübner's work balances functionality with refined aesthetics across all his furniture and products.

After earning his high school diploma in 2009, Robin Hübner began with a traditional carpenter's apprenticeship. His exceptional results led him to pursue further education: in 2012, he enrolled at the Academy of Design at the Münster Chamber of Crafts. There, he specialized in product design, spatial planning, and project management. His diploma project earned recognition from the academy in 2014, and that same year he received the wood category award at Designtalente NRW.

While working as an industrial designer and product manager at a Düsseldorf firm, Hübner founded his own studio in 2019. Based in Derendorf, he crafts wooden furniture and products defined by both function and form—each piece a thoughtfully designed everyday object marked by meticulous attention to detail. The Finn table exemplifies this approach: constructed from black-stained solid ash, it commands attention through its distinctive legs that support a substantial top with Swiss edges tapering gracefully downward. This refined geometry prevents the 34 mm tabletop from feeling overly heavy. The table disassembles completely for easy transport. By contrast, Hübner's chairs feel almost ethereal beside the robust table—a refined outcome of his ergonomic seating research. Their spine-conscious design reduces strain on the back and intervertebral discs.
