Bauhaus in the Countryside
This minimalist country home seamlessly merges interior and exterior spaces, thanks to Dekton.
"I've always dreamed of building something truly unique and contemporary," says Johannes Glatt, a building contractor living with his family near Munich. Studio Frick responded with a concept that draws inspiration from the region's agricultural heritage while feeling strikingly modern.
Expansive Dekton floor tiles blur the boundary between interior and exterior, creating seamless flow. "The sintered stone surface in Kovik's subtle grey-veined tone creates a stunning pairing with the natural wood dining table and kitchen cabinetry," explains designer Lilit Frick.
The bathrooms feature Dekton Kovik as well. For the five-meter washbasins, the team selected Silestone mineral composite in Camden matte grey. "These stone surfaces reinforce the home's minimalist architecture through their consistent material presence," notes architect Simon Frick.
