Bar for world explorers

The Atlantic Bar combines Hanseatic flair with cosmopolitanism and enjoyment

The new Atlantic Bar at the Hotel Atlantic Hamburg is a place for carefree hours: It combines the inviting ambience of a Hamburg living room with the flair of a trip to distant lands. People like to come together here to enjoy the first coffee of the day, the legendary high tea with scones or a glass of champagne in elegant and cozy surroundings. In the evening, the new creations of Philipp Weigelt and his bar team are sampled from polished glasses. The bar menu places a special emphasis on spices, herbs and aromas from all over the world.

The room is characterized by an airy barrel vault and an elegant coffered ceiling with handcrafted stucco. The walls are clad in dark-stained oak, which harmonizes with the smoked oak floor in a ship's plank look. The iconic blue armchairs add a maritime touch and the vibrant red, hand-spotted velour carpet from renowned Hamburg interior designer Tai Ping Carpets Interieur provides a visual counterpoint with an Asian touch. Decorative artifacts bring the wide world into the bar: side tables reminiscent of suitcases, shelves and display cabinets with selected Chinese vases, English teapots and a portable travel bar complete the stylish setting. American influence comes into play with the bar counter with its quilted leather edge. Here, ingredients collected from around the globe and creative recipes come together to create exquisite drinks. The Hamburg-based company CM Design was responsible for the interior design of the Atlantic Bar under the artistic direction of Titia große Broermann.
