Dive into the evening
Townhouse with new garden and spacious pool
The well-tended garden and the calm, shimmering light blue water surface of the pool show no sign of the challenges that had to be overcome during its installation. And yet it took a real feat of strength to transform the townhouse garden of the family of several into this vacation spot. A road closure in the dense city traffic could only be approved for the delivery of the pool at the weekend, with the time window being further reduced due to a passing bus route.
A construction crane was placed on the sidewalk to lift the excavator, pool, terrace slabs, three trees and other materials over the house. "It was particularly challenging to tilt the pool, which was delivered vertically on the semi-trailer truck, 90 degrees into a horizontal position on the narrow main road," recalls Florian Weerts, founder and owner of Weerts Pools & Spa. But everything went smoothly, so that the owners were able to enjoy swimming in their own garden after just three weeks of renovation work. A pool was installed in which the steps were designed freely with extended seating steps according to the customer's wishes. The newly laid, light grey porcelain stoneware around the pool harmonizes well with the old, listed brick wall that surrounds the entire property. The bronze pool cover was also chosen to match the look of the brick wall, while the shutters were installed as polycarbonate solar profiles to ensure maximum heat input into the pool from the sunlight. In addition, the heat pump ensures pleasant temperatures and a pool season from April to October. The necessary water treatment and pool technology is housed in the newly built garden shed, keeping the distance to the pool short and minimizing noise pollution from the neighbouring terrace. In addition to the pool lighting with warm white light, which creates a beautiful atmosphere, especially in the evening hours, a cozy lower seating terrace with an outdoor kitchen, suitable garden lighting and a pool shower round off the garden oasis in the middle of the state capital.
