With the expansion of the Stilwerk concept—established for over two decades—into hospitality, the company and its longstanding brand partners bring the showroom's exacting design standards to real living spaces. The result: guests experience premium design in their temporary home.

Since May 2020, this vision has come to life in Hamburg. Hotel Heimhude opened in a stately Gründerzeit villa in Rotherbaum, following a two-phase renovation completed in fall 2019 and spring 2020 under the creative direction of Stilwerk owner Alexander Garbe and managing director Tatjana Groß. The spatial concept draws inspiration from single-family home living, with the kitchen as the social heart—where guests check in and out, gather for conversation, enjoy wine, and collaborate creatively. Beyond this shared space lie intimate retreats where guests can pursue their needs, whether seeking connection, focus, inspiration, or rest.

A personality-filled gem has emerged—one that marries historic charm with compelling interiors across 24 rooms. Natural materials, handcrafted quality, and meticulous detailing create an authentic home-away-from-home experience. But Hotel Heimhude transcends a simple holiday destination. It's an inspiration hub for design lovers—a place to discover furniture, lighting, colors, and objects in a relaxed setting, and to experience living with them firsthand. Guests who fall in love with something can consult the curated brand directory, request initial design guidance, or connect directly with retailers at the Stilwerk Design Destination at Fischmarkt.

Hotel Heimhude's interiors strike a timeless modern aesthetic. Scandinavian craftsmanship blends with Italian refinement, vintage modern pieces, and unexpected accents. Natural materials and a contemporary palette create a stimulating sense of space. Over 40 carefully curated brands furnish the interior—each selected for uncompromising standards of beauty, tactile quality, durability, and functionality. Most are European manufacturers, rooted in the craft of making.
