A new Heartquarter
Adapted spaces for new work culture create an inspiring place to work
The ParshipMeet Group is an online dating company. As part of the realignment of the marketing strategy and the planned IPO of the parent company, the course was set at the central location in Hamburg to redesign the premises and develop its own New Work Culture. This rethink affected not only the content, but also the design of the office space. The aim was to move towards hybrid working and promote flexibility as well as communication and collaboration between employees and departments.
The joint project between the planning office Seel Bobsin Partner and Joppich & Rieckhoff Handelsgesellschaft für Büroeinrichtungen lasted around 18 months. As part of the change process, numerous workshops were held with users and board members in order to create a special workspace. The aim was to make the vibrant corporate culture tangible. An online survey was also conducted in order to take employee feedback and needs into account. The central element of this concept is the "centerpiece" - a highly symbolic event and bistro area in the building. It offers a variety of opportunities for communication and culinary enjoyment and encourages interaction in a relaxed café atmosphere. Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art technology, colleagues working from home can also take part in workshops and discussions. The existing space of around 3,200 m² was completely redesigned and optimized for hybrid working. This resulted in flexible and versatile multi-space areas. Each floor was given numerous retreat areas and meeting locations for both online and offline use. One important step was the switch from fixed workstations to a flexdesk solution. Agile team zones and quiet focus areas enable a concentrated way of working.
Following a comprehensive analysis of the floor plan, an in-depth assessment of the existing resources was carried out in order to make sustainable and efficient use of existing elements during the conversion. Overall, the successful redesign of the office space not only reflects the future-oriented focus of the company. It also strengthened the sense of togetherness within the company and further developed the employer brand. With new work concepts and adapted premises, the needs of the employees were taken into account and an inspiring place to work was created - the Heartquarter.
