Reduction with Purpose
Anchor Studio
Jonas Birkebæk Poulsen, founder of Anker Studio, has carved out a distinctive voice in Scandinavian design. Growing up surrounded by design—his father was a designer at LEGO—he views design as more than function: it's a vehicle for meaningful impact. His philosophy centers on reduction that avoids simplicity, instead revealing itself through carefully considered details. This principle defines every piece he creates for Nordlux and the design brand "Design For The People" (DFTP).
The Versale pendant embodies this philosophy in three dimensions: a perfectly rounded shade whose seamless surface is interrupted only by its supporting frame. It's engineered for spaces where precise, atmospheric light matters—conference rooms, restaurants, hospitality venues—delivering glare-free illumination without any design excess.
With the Furiko wall light, Anker Studio demonstrates how light and form can become one. Backlighting the spherical shade produces soft, diffuse illumination that integrates naturally into corridors, bedrooms, and hospitality environments. The result is layered lighting with no visible source—perfectly suited to architecturally minimal walls.
Anker Studio's lighting design enhances architectural vision—it never competes with it. This approach gives interior designers the freedom to compose sophisticated lighting narratives with fixtures that perform flawlessly while creating genuine atmosphere.
