Modern world of pleasure
After a comprehensive redesign, the gourmet restaurant in Bottrop shines in new splendor
When the Zurheide Markt in Bottrop opened 18 years ago in the Südringcenter, the idea was to have a simple bistro where guests could get something to eat quickly. Over the years, the bistro became a popular gourmet meeting place where guests appreciated the freshness, quality and preparation of the food. The bistro concept therefore no longer seemed up to date and was therefore extensively redesigned as part of the redesign of the entrance area of the market and given a new name: Gourmet-Restaurant Bottrop by Zurheide Feine Kost.
The shopfitting and lighting design specialists AHA 360 ° have deliberately made the restaurant experience more intimate and exclusive. The once open bistro now has an elegant dining area with 60 seats, which is separated from the supermarket by a glass front. The 240 m² space features numerous seating niches with chic leather chairs and benches, some of which are separated by glass elements. One highlight is the round table with upholstered armchairs, which offers sufficient privacy for dining despite its central location in the middle of the restaurant. The dark, suspended ceiling with its LED spotlights and spherical ceiling lights provides sufficient light without being obtrusive. Various fresh food counters have also been integrated, in which the products are appetizingly presented. The kitchen is also visible, so that you can watch the food being prepared from many of the tables. The outdoor area with around 25 seats has been retained, which is not only popular in summer temperatures thanks to its roofing. As the restaurant has a separate entrance, it can also be visited outside the opening hours of the market. In the restaurant, classic and modern elements merge into a unity that one would expect to find in international cities. Traditional style elements such as herringbone flooring lend the room a timeless elegance. At the same time, modern accents - such as the light, flowing chain curtain, wall wallpaper with a floral design and the mirrored back wall of the bar - create fresh, contemporary highlights. High-quality materials, such as the blue velvet and fine leather upholstery, create a luxurious atmosphere that permeates the entire restaurant. "We paid particular attention to the lighting design, which not only provides atmospheric lighting but also perfectly showcases the products. Indirect light, decorative lamps and modern LED technology are used here to create a pleasant atmosphere that invites you to relax," summarizes Michael Mayer, founder of AHA 360 °.
