In 1961, Klaus Fuchs established the horticultural business in Lenggries, Upper Bavaria. Two decades later, his son Fred Fuchs—a trained horticultural and landscaping technician—joined the company and became sole managing director in 1992 upon its conversion to a limited liability company.

Since 2011/2012, the third generation—Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Balbina Fuchs and Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Ludwig Fuchs—have taken their place in the family enterprise. Today, the company employs approximately 60 people and specializes in expert consultation, design planning and execution, and the construction and sustainable maintenance of private gardens and natural swimming ponds. This includes integrated irrigation systems, landscape lighting, and custom sun shade structures. Beyond standard landscaping services, the firm also offers specialized design consulting in Feng Shui gardening principles. Fuchs baut Gärten has earned widespread recognition far beyond its home region of Bad Tölz/Wolfratshausen, becoming a hallmark of quality, expertise, and aesthetic excellence in both Austria and Italy.
