Patrick Treutlein – Grand Opening in Cologne at the Ring
A Second Flagship Store on Cologne's Premier Furniture District
The success story began in Düsseldorf in 1995. Over the years, Patrick Treutlein has established himself as one of the world's leading figures in high-end interior design by bridging architecture, design, and the way people actually live. Now, following the success of his flagship store in Düsseldorf, Treutlein is opening the doors to a new chapter in high-end interiors at Cologne am Ring. Across approximately 500 square meters of retail space, he's created a destination where design makes a statement, materials tell their own story, and every detail matters – a must-see for design enthusiasts. "We deliver everything our clients are looking for," explains the founder. "With our three-person Cologne team and our full planning department based in Düsseldorf, we cover every aspect of interior creation. Our in-house expertise spans carpentry, upholstery, painting, drywall, custom sewing, and a carefully curated network of specialized partners – allowing us to deliver completely tailored, comprehensive interior concepts with precision down to the finest detail."
From concept through the extensive renovation and complete redesign to opening day, the project came together in just a few months. On Cologne's renowned furniture boulevard – where the Italian brand Giorgetti previously held court – Treutlein is now raising the bar with bold new standards. The showroom features collections from Poliform, Flexform, Giorgetti and Baxter, Miinu, Schramm, Bomma, and Henge. Anchoring the exhibition space is a Poliform kitchen that debuted at this year's Milan Furniture Fair. With three decades in the business, Treutlein has built something remarkable. Starting literally in a garage thirty years ago, the founder's combination of passion, exceptional craftsmanship, and instinctive design sensibility has elevated interior culture to an art form. For Treutlein, it's always about the interplay between people and space – and how to create meaningful connections between them. His approach is straightforward: Consult. Plan. Deliver. He transforms spatial design into a tangible process. Rather than chasing surface-level visual impact, he's mastered the art of making spaces work harder – maximizing every square meter with purpose.
Since its inception, Patrick Treutlein has steadily expanded his portfolio – establishing a series of flagship stores in Düsseldorf and Meerbusch, curating international design brands under his name, and building a dedicated kitchen studio and architecture firm specializing in project management. In 2024, a partnership with Studio Lusso in Hamburg marked the brand's entry into northern Germany, followed by the B&O Store Düsseldorf, a collaboration that redefined the intersection of sound and interior design. The year 2025 brought an exclusive showsuite partnership with Henge at the Breidenbacher Hof – and now, as the year closes, the highly anticipated Treutlein flagship store in Cologne represents the next defining milestone. Today, Treutlein leads a dynamic team of approximately 95 skilled professionals united under one roof, bringing specialized expertise across upholstery, tailoring, interior architecture, project planning, procurement, and logistics. This multidisciplinary approach enables the studio to shepherd projects through every phase – from initial concept to final execution – with comprehensive in-house capability. The planning department – comprising architects and interior designers – serves as the creative engine of the firm. By synthesizing creative vision, technical rigor, and artisanal craftsmanship, the team develops distinctive, bespoke design solutions for diverse contexts: private residences, exclusive properties, and high-profile public projects throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, the United Kingdom, and beyond.
