Light + Building 2024/25: Exploring the Latest Trends
More than 2,000 exhibitors from March 3–8
Light + Building returns March 3–8, 2024, with more than 2,000 exhibitors already registered. Leading the international lineup alongside Germany are Italy, Turkey, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Greece, and China. "We're seeing exceptional momentum across both lighting and building technologies," says Johannes Möller, Head of Brand Management for Light + Building. "The strong return of previous exhibitors, combined with newcomers, reinforces why Light + Building stands as the premier global hub for lighting and building technology innovation." He adds: "Strategic changes to the exhibition grounds have created exciting new possibilities for how we organize the show."
From corporate offices to educational facilities, industrial plants to retail and hospitality venues – Light + Building assembles the world's leading experts in intelligent lighting at Frankfurt's exhibition grounds. Lighting topics occupy approximately 64 percent of the total space, now reorganized for improved flow. The newly added Hall 5, featuring two modern levels, enables a refreshed layout and creates an innovative circulation path through the east grounds: from Halls 5 and 6, via the Forum, through Hall 3 to Hall 4. Technical lighting leaders – including Bega, Brumberg, Glamox, iGuzzini, Leds C4, Ledvance, Lichtwerk, Molto Luce, Normagrup, Regiolux, Ridi, RZB, Simes, Thorn, Tridonic, Trilux, XAL, and Zumtobel – showcase their latest innovations in Hall 3.0, Hall 5, and the Forum. Hall 3.1 celebrates design-forward, decorative and technical lighting, featuring companies like Artemide, Delta Light, 3F Filippi, Linea Light, Marinelli Luce, Prolicht, and Targetti.
Urban lighting solutions for streets and public spaces will be presented by AEC Illuminazione, Benito Urban, Carandini, Eclatec, Fonroche, Leipziger Leuchten, Metalogalva, Ragni, and Valmont in Hall 4.0. Just upstairs in Hall 4.1, the emphasis shifts to industrial and specialized applications, retail and theatrical lighting, plus emergency and safety systems, with exhibitors including Barthelme, Deko Light, Eaton, Inotec, Nobilé, Opple, Robus, Rutec, Radium, RP Group, and SG Armaturen. Hall 6 showcases the full spectrum of decorative lighting through brands such as Authentage, Elstead Lighting, Fan Europe, Konstsmide, Lucide, Nordlux, and the Turkish pavilion exhibitors.
The lighting portfolio expands into the west area, where Hall 8 – now dedicated entirely to lighting – debuts. Here, the focus narrows to lighting components, light sources, and control systems, showcased by innovators including Bender + Wirth, BJB, Nichia, Osram, Seoul Semiconductor, TCI, Vossloh-Schwabe, and Wago. Halls 10.1 and 10.2 celebrate Asia's leading lighting manufacturers through the Asia Selection zone.
Sustainable buildings of tomorrow run on renewable energy, operate with efficient and smart energy management, and seamlessly deliver comfort and security. This vision rests on a foundation of intelligent electrical infrastructure – the cornerstone of home and building automation, energy storage and management, photovoltaic integration, EV charging stations, and electric heating systems. The latest breakthroughs in electrical engineering, home and building automation are on display in Halls 9, 11, and 12.
Industry titans have already confirmed their presence. Hall 12.0 features ABB, ABL, Bals, Bosch Thermotechnik, Busch-Jaeger, Dehn SE, Kaiser, Niedax, SMA, Stiebel Eltron, Theben, Viessmann, and Warema. One level up in Hall 12.1, visitors will find Doepke, Fränkische Rohrwerke, Hager, Mennekes, Hensel, OBO Bettermann, and PCE. The comprehensive electrical engineering and building automation portfolio continues in Hall 11.0 with Beckhoff, Phoenix Contact, Rittal, Siemens, Wago, and Weidmüller. Hall 11.1 hosts Gira, Jung, Legrand, MDT, Schneider Electric, and Siedle.
Security technology, presented under the 'Intersec Building' banner, has received significant expansion and occupies Hall 9.0. Here, leaders like Abus, BKS, Dom, Gretsch Unitas, Grothe, and Winkhaus unveil integrated building security solutions. Hall 9.0 also continues to feature the broader electrical engineering and building technology landscape, with exhibitors including Bacnet, EnOcean, frogblue, Loytec, Megger, Thermokon, and Woertz.
