Here we go – cycles instead of waste
Special exhibition at the Museum of Man and Nature
How can waste be recycled into something new, thereby helping to protect the environment? This important question is the focus of the special exhibition ‘Now it’s all about the cycle – cycles instead of waste’, which runs from 23 June to 10 January 2027 at the Museum of Man and Nature.
The exhibition focuses on what is known as the ‘circular economy’: put simply, this means that materials are not thrown away after a relatively short period of use, but are repaired or recycled, ideally without harming the environment. At the same time, this context also encourages us to rethink our own consumption habits.
To this end, various stations have been set up at the Museum of Man and Nature to illustrate the principle of the circular economy. For example, you can design your own sustainable trainers, try out different ways of sorting waste and even get a glimpse of a circular future. Guided tours, talks and other activities will also give you plenty of ideas on how to avoid waste and recycle raw materials.
