Wie lassen sich Abfälle für etwas Neues wiederverwerten, um auf diese Weise die Umwelt zu schützen? Mit dieser wichtigen Frage beschäftigt sich die Sonderausstellung „Jetzt geht’s rund – Kreisläufe statt Abfälle“ vom 23. Juni bis 10. Januar 2027 im Museum Mensch und Natur in München.

The exhibition focuses on what is known as the ‘circular economy’: put simply, this means that materials are not thrown away after a relatively short period of use, but are repaired or recycled, ideally without harming the environment. At the same time, this context also encourages us to rethink our own consumption habits.

To this end, various stations have been set up at the Museum of Man and Nature to illustrate the principle of the circular economy. For example, you can design your own sustainable trainers, try out different ways of sorting waste and even get a glimpse of a circular future. Guided tours, talks and other activities will also give you plenty of ideas on how to avoid waste and recycle raw materials.

Die Ausstellung ist ein gemeinsames Projekt der Deutschen Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) und der VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH. Die DBU ist eine der größten Stiftungen in Europa. Die DBU fördert innovative beispielhafte Projekte zum Umweltschutz unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der mittelständischen Wirtschaft. Es ist das Anliegen der DBU, zur Lösung aktueller Umweltprobleme beizutragen.
