Future-oriented heating

Contributing to the energy transition with a modern pellet heating system

Living and living more sustainably - everyone is talking about it, many are also taking action. Whether it's solar panels or a long-overdue heating system upgrade: your own home offers many opportunities to help drive forward the energy transition. We would like to introduce you to some of them in our new series "Regenerative energy sources". We start with pellet heating, which produces energy for heating and hot water by burning environmentally friendly wood pellets. "Many of our customers and current pellet heating system owners initially had reservations about this heating system. But in almost all cases, we were able to overcome these reservations," says Jürgen Hohnen, owner of the company of the same name, which specializes in energy-saving solutions. After all, the further development of technology has also brought pellet heating forward in terms of comfort and efficiency. Heating with wood pellets is fully automatic. In addition, the heating system reacts automatically to the changing heating requirements of the house without any manual effort. In addition to quiet and convenient operation, it reduces energy costs while at the same time offering state subsidies of up to 70 %. Many points that make pellet heating a good alternative to heat pumps - especially because existing radiator surfaces can be retained. And the pellet heating system also has the edge when it comes to large heat consumption volumes in older houses or apartment buildings. Wood pellets are pressed pellets made from sawdust and wood shavings from the sawmill industry without chemical binding agents. As the same amount of carbon dioxide is released during combustion as would be released by the tree during natural decomposition, pellets burn in a CO2-neutral way. "All this makes pellet heating an energy-saving solution that is also ideal as an alternative to oil or gas heating in existing buildings," says Hohnen, who has recently started offering the trouble-free delivery of high-quality pellets with his own fleet of vehicles.
