The still young company jumo has quickly fulfilled a big dream: Their own company headquarters. In 2015, the dedicated experts in shopfitting, exhibition stand construction and interior design founded their company in Ohligs, but after two successful years, the journey was set to continue. The nearby Südpark in Solingen was predestined for this next step. The extensive area around the old Solingen Süd train station has developed into a creative quarter in recent years. Jumo wanted to help shape the location and make a modern, contemporary and open contribution with its new building. The result is a geometrically clear cube, which was realized by PlanBar Architektur from Cologne as general planner.

Thanks to its materiality and design language, the three-storey building with its contrasting concrete and timber façade design meets all requirements and integrates itself into its surroundings in a pleasantly unobtrusive yet present manner. A characteristic feature is the surrounding band in exposed concrete look, which continues as a wall or ceiling slab from the first floor to the roof. In between, horizontal wooden slats and large anthracite-colored aluminum windows define the external appearance. Special emphasis was also placed on a long, narrow balcony with a view into and over the treetops. According to the client and architect, employees can meet there in a balanced and natural working atmosphere during their breaks and meetings.

The interior design was based entirely on the motto: "Future-oriented working environment without closed rooms". In the open office landscape with the open office, meeting and Eat & Meet areas, employees have 25 workstations at their disposal. The material and color concept of the façade design is continued in the interior spaces. Walls and ceilings were finished in exposed concrete and combined with acoustic panels made of wooden slats. Circular pendant luminaires provide dynamic accents, while individual armchairs, chairs and carpets provide colorful eye-catchers - all in all, a fresh, harmonious effect that creates a high quality of stay and unites the modern, young office into an ensemble.
